Nivea Moisturising Immediate Sun Protection SPF 30 PA++ Review
Nivea Moisturising Immediate Sun Protection - SPF 30 PA++ Review - Entry # 3 by Megha
What Nivea claims about Nivea Moisturising Immediate Sun Protection:
Details:
Details:
How to UseApply generously before sun exposure and reapply frequently, especially after swimming and towelling to maintain the original protection. Do not stay too long in the sun, even while using sunscreen.
My verdict on Nivea Moisturising Immediate Sun Protection - SPF 30 PA++:Nivea Moisturising Immediate Sun Protection - SPF 30 PA++ comes in a blue colored elongated bottle. The bottle has an orange flip cap. Tilt and pressurize a little at the middle of the bottle, the lotion will comes out.
The texture is thin and is a perfect body lotion. It moisturizes my skin very well a makes my skin soft. There is a nice smell initially after I apply. Later on the smell goes off.
Staying power is not 24 hours as the brand says. It is hardly for about 4 hours. Then reapplication is needed. Since I do not reapply, its job as a sun protector goes off.

I do not go out in sun usually. But occasionally when I am touring with my family, I use this sun protecting Nivea lotion. But I have observed my skin getting tanned inspite of using Nivea Moisturising Immediate Sun Protection - SPF 30 PA++. This could be because I do not reapply.
The package is not travel friendly. The bottle leaks very badly.

My verdict:Nivea Cream is a good old product that is used as an all purpose cream.
Packed in a bright blue round flat tin, it is available in different size and quantity.
Packed in a bright blue round flat tin, it is available in different size and quantity.
I am showing the least quantity pack here.
The cream is very rich and oily. The consistency is very thick and takes some time to massage and spread on the skin. The moisturizing power is very good and helps the dry skin a lot.
It stays for long making the skin soft. Oily skin people may not like this since it is thick and makes a rich cream. But I love this product and have been using this from ages.
The tin has a pressing lid. This is a little bothersome. If I am in a hurry, when I try opening the lid I always end up poking my fingers in to cream. This makes the product enter my nails which I do not like.
Apart from the packaging style, I cannot think of any drawback of the product.

My experience with Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub:
Package – Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub comes in a standard Himalaya package, a white tube and a green flip cap. The flip caps are usually not strong of the products from Himalaya . I have broken so many caps of Himalaya products just while trying to shut it close.
Texture - Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub has a creamy base. The brand suggests that the product is suitable for oily skin, yet it is made so creamy. There are small granules suspended in this base. Granules are not very harsh and is made perfect for delicate skin.
Smell – It has a light pleasant smell of neem. It does not irritate.
The scrub on my skin – The creamy scrub helps to massage on the face as long as I wish. Since the granules are soft they do not hurt the skin much. Removes all dirt easily and makes the skin clean and fresh. Perfect product for use when I need that refresh feel after a very tired day.
Pros of Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub:
- Easy handling package.
- Very mild granules.
- Cleans skin from all dirt.
- Creamy base does not hurt while massaging the skin.
Cons of Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub:
- Very low quality plastic cap. Breaks while handling the flip cap.
- Oily skin people may not like the creamy base of the scrub.
Rating: 3.5/5

Really does what it claims
My skin has got this lovely glow,, become very soft and is in much better condition now :)

Dia Mirza - The Porcelain Beauty and her Beauty Secrets
I always loved Dia Mirza even though she doesn't have that many films to her credit...As far as i have seen her she is always in impeccable flawless makeup and Apt dress for the occasion
So the post :)
Something About her
Dia Mirza was born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Her father, Frank Handrich, was a German graphic and industrial fair designer, architect, artist and interior designer from Munich and her mother, Deepa is a Bengali Indian who is an interior designer, landscaper and currently does social work as a volunteer to help alcoholics and addicts. They separated when she was six years old. Her father died when she was nine and her mother remarried Ahmed Mirza, who died in 2004. She adopted her stepfather's surname Mirza and has recently adopted the last name of her birth-father and became Dia Mirza Handrich. Though she has been brought up in a Muslim household, she does not consider herself a Muslim; she is a Hindu and believes in Ganesha.

Also Dia Mirza to endorse The Body Shop brand

Her Beauty Secrets in Vogue
MOISTURE FIX
I have combination skin, which can be both oily and dry, so I religiously moisturise twice a day with a waterbased hypo-allergenic moisturizer I’ve discovered from a French brand Uriage.
DIVA DIET
I start my mornings with warm water and fresh lime to detox. When I eat simple food without too much spice and oil, my skin stays healthy. I eat lots of fresh and wholesome fruit and veggies. Anything sin excess is a no-no.
RED CARPET ROUTINE
I like to keep it simple. I use a light coverage of M.A.C Studio Fix foundation. I enhance my eyes with Bobbi Brown eyeliner, curl the lashes and then brush on mascara. I add a little shimmer from Make Up For Ever to highlight the cheekbones and finish with gloss from Bobbi Brown.
SHADY LADY
I don’t even step outside without sunscreen. Right now I’m using Vichy Capital Soleil with SPF 50, so my face stays protected for up to eight hours.
MUST HAVES
A tinted strawberry flavoured lip balm, a mascara and a techna kohl pencil, all by M.A.C
HEAVEN SCENT
My signature fragrance is DKNY Be Delicious
GOING PRO
I insist on using professional makeup and carry my own kit everywhere. Unlike other actresses, I can’t use thick Kryolan panstick; instead I use a liquid base and translucent powder from M.A.C Pro. I first learnt how to use make-up professionally
Love,
Varshini

Oriflame Essentials Fairness Lotion Review
I got this Oriflame Essentials fairness lotion when this product was in discount and I wanted a moisturiser for my Oily Combination skin
Since this had Mulberry Extract & Vitamin E and it was for oily skin
I wanted to give this a try
50ml for Rs.89

So here is my verdict:
Likes:
Its a lotion so it absorbs into the skin pretty fast
Non-greasy so thumbs up for oily skinned people
No break outs
I use this during my evening CTM
very very small quantity is enough for the whole face and neck
Priced reasonably
Travel friendly packaging
Oriflame products are not tested on animals

Dislikes:
It has parabens
Did not make me fair
No SPF
I would give a 3.5 /5
Will i recommend this ? Yes , its a decent moisturiser for oily skinned people
Will i purchase this ? Got one already
So which is your favourite moisturiser ?
Have you tried this product ?
Love,
Varshini

Lotus LICORICEWHITE Skin Whitening Cleanser Review
As usual I went for groceries shopping and bought all makeup skincare stuff…So I was gazing aimlessly at the Skincare and makeup Aisle…spotted this in the lotus rack….
As soon as I saw another girl pick up this Ayurvedic Cleansing Bar …I grabbed one for myself and during billing only found out that
It costs Rs.70 for 100gm…but then what to do still I bought this home
Here it is

What does it claim

My Take on this product use

I don’t use soap for face so tried this for regular bathing :P
I will list it out with pros and cons
Pros:
I really loved the smell…its very sweet fruity, flowery lovely smell…it lingers in your bathroom
My hubby said you please take bath first so that the bathroom smells good…
So you get to take bath first
Lathers really very well…you will have that squeaky clean effect
Moisturises to a certain extent but doesn’t dry
It did remove my tan and thus lightens the skin color to some extent
100% Natural Ayurvedic bar
Handmade
Cons :
• Price ..i find it little over priced but then it does remove tan ...
• The fragrance stays for a very short period on skin
• Soap dissolves easily..just 2 weeks or so
• Doesn’t whitens the skin but removes tan
• Extremely dry skinned people will need a moistureriser
So I will rate this 4/51 reduced for price, dissolves easily and for that skin whitening claim.
Will I repurchase : yes, I love the fragrance and removes tan do try this out , sure you will love the smell.
Will i reccomend ? Yes yes yes....

Lotus WHITEGLOW Skin Whitening Facial Foam Review
Lotus herbals has introduced new a range called "White Glow" and with a new packaging which is good...
This range consists of facial foam, scrub, serum, gel creme, face mask(masque), emulsion
and this time the entire list of ingredients has been given :)
So today i will review about the facial foam which i have been using for more than 3 weeks so here is my verdict ;)
Lotus Herbals 3-in-1 deep cleansing Skin Whitening Facial Foam
Price :Rs 95 for 50 gm
The Claim:
Deep Cleanses
Whitens
Blocks Melanin Production

What it contains ?
Active Ingredients: Milk Enzymes and Aloe vera gel
For other ingredients please see the image below

My Take:
I have used many of lotus products and am a happy customer when it comes to their tee tree face wash as well as Berry scrub and sun block, this made me try the white glow range..

This facial foam smells good and the consistency is not creamy but little runny white glossy liquid .Just like they have mixed aloe vera gel and milk.
I wont say that this facial foam lathers very well but it does lather good.
Its gives a refreshing, clean and an instant glow to the skin.
What I like ?
It gives instant glow to the skin
Doesn't dry the skin(I have an oily /combination skin)
Skin feels very soft and supple.
didn't cause any break out.
What i dont like ?
The instant glow fades after sometime
It did not remove my entire makeup...kajal was still there and it bured like hell when i tried to wash the kajal...:(
I am not sure about the melanin blocking part
It didn't whiten my face even after using it for 3 weeks
Though the new packaging is great I didn't like the nozzle and screw cap idea for a face wash.
Because of the huge nozzle and runny consistency of the face wash more quantity comes out and its getting wasted.I would have liked flip cap for this.

Can you see how much of face wash is stuck in the screw cap ?
So my overall verdit is this a good product that brightens the skin but sadly doesn't whitens. Not my HG face wash
Hope you liked this review...:)
