EOTD - PINK SHIMMERS

I am really very sorry for not posting anything this long..had issues with my laptop ..

I tried this when i went out with my hubby for dinner on a saturday...sometime back..
I will update this post again with breakup pictures shortly...

So here it is EOTD with pink shimmers...
I have used eye shadows from Rhomlon Palette...which i bought in singapore for very very less price...i dont think so its available anywhere outside singapore...
If you could get this... its one of the best palette... i will do a detailed review soon :)

Kindly ignore my pathetic looking eyebrows as usual ;)

Lotus LICORICEWHITE Skin Whitening Cleanser Review

As usual I went for groceries shopping and bought all makeup skincare stuff…So I was gazing aimlessly at the Skincare and makeup Aisle…spotted this in the lotus rack….

As soon as I saw another girl pick up this Ayurvedic Cleansing Bar …I grabbed one for myself and during billing only found out that
It costs Rs.70 for 100gm…but then what to do still I bought this home

My Take on this product use


I don’t use soap for face so tried this for regular bathing :P

I will list it out with pros and cons


Pros:
I really loved the smell…its very sweet fruity, flowery lovely smell…it lingers in your bathroom
My hubby said you please take bath first so that the bathroom smells good…
So you get to take bath first
Lathers really very well…you will have that squeaky clean effect
Moisturises to a certain extent but doesn’t dry
It did remove my tan and thus lightens the skin color to some extent
100% Natural Ayurvedic bar
Handmade


Cons :
• Price ..i find it little over priced but then it does remove tan ...
• The fragrance stays for a very short period on skin
• Soap dissolves easily..just 2 weeks or so
• Doesn’t whitens the skin but removes tan
• Extremely dry skinned people will need a moistureriser


So I will rate this 4/51 reduced for price, dissolves easily and for that skin whitening claim.

Will I repurchase : yes, I love the fragrance and removes tan do try this out , sure you will love the smell.


Will i reccomend ? Yes yes yes....

Chettinadu Chicken Recipe

Hello girliessss....My hubby wanted me to try chettinadu chicken which he actually loved(literally went crazy) when he tasted it in my native place...

So tried it and Almost got the taste...Actually got the recipe printout from a friend of mine which she planned for ages to prepare...so i literally snatched it from her.See what love can do ...

She has no clue from which site she took it ....so anyone thinks its your recipe...pls let me know...i will be glad to link you ...




So here is the recipe...
It serves 4-5 people
For all the chettinadu recipes as such ingredients needs to be fresh so that the final outcome will be awesome...


Ingredients for saute
Chicken-750 gms
Big onion 2
Tomatoes-2
Garlic 10 pods


For grinding - Part 1
Ginger 1inch piece
Small onion-10
Garlic-5-6pods
Green chillies-2
Chilli powder-1 tbsp
Coriander powder-2 tbsp

For grinding - Part 2
Coconut grated-3 table spoons
Khus Khus - 2 teaspoons
Fennel seeds-1 teaspoon

For Seasoning
Cinnamon- 1-2 inch piece
Fennel seeds-1 teaspoon
Clove-2
Cardamom-2
Bay leaf-little
Mint leaf-handful
Curry leaf little

Step by Step:

Chop Onions, garlic and tomatoes.
Heat Oil in a Kadai and Season with curry leaves, and all the things in the For seasoning
Now add chopped onions and saute.
Once onions are cooked add garlic.
Add the chopped tomatoes. till they are juicy.
Add the grounded paste -1 and cook ir for sometime.
Now add the chicken pieces and fold in the masala.
Cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
Once you find that the chicken pieces are almost cooked increase the flame so that the gravy becomes thick.
Once the curry gets thick add the masala grounded items - 2 and mix nicely
Now add water if you want your gravy to be little thin...else you will get a semi dry gravy
Cook the curry till the oil separates




Have a lovely time eating chicken ...yum yum yum

Gillette for Women Shave Gel - Satin Care

When i was a kid i was fascinated whenever i saw my dad using these shave gels and how they foam so beautifully and tried it once shaving my eyebrows...yes i was unbelievable even as a kid....

So when i saw Gillette for women shave gel for the first time when i went to my near by super market ...i was like cool...women too have shave gel...i was so happy i got these :)

75ml for Rs.125

So here is it...I got it along with the Gillette for women satin care shaving razor



It was called Floral passion with Silk Extracts



Usual pump dispenser



Its a pink foam gel which actually smells floral and also has little Cologne smell
(Does anyone know palmistry here ???)



I just took a little and rubbed it over my had and removed the hair with the razor


I actually got a lovely clean shave

Its really like satin smooth...

So lets go to the Likes & Dislikes

Easy to use
Did not give me any bumpy break outs

My skin was silky smooth
Travel friendly too

Useful for emergency times...when you need to rush up somewhere and cannot sit with hair removal creams/waxing

Hair started showing after a day

Maybelline Haul & a lovely free Gift

First of all I am sooooo thankful to Rati for IMBB ...without which i would have never got to know so many thingssss in makeup....But then i have always been a makeup addict but was never into proper skincare...so many days i have slept with my makeup on because am such a lazy bum....only after rati specifying it in so many of her posts i understood the true importance...

So coming back to my story...
When i went for shopping the other day...please click to know about my latest haul here...I got a couple of maybelline things....believe me gurls...maybelline is such a lovely lovely brand with affordable prices and good quality products but then they do animal testing which is bad but then that couldn't stop me from getting things....So i got another reason to shop...
So i actually came to know about Maybellline lasting drama gel eyeliner through IMBB
Thank you guys...Am loving it....I know iam little emotional kind..;)

Lip Spa Therapy at Home - Do It Yourself - DIY

The Anatomy of Lips

The skin of the lip, with three to five cellular layers, is very thin compared to typical face skin, which has up to 16 layers. With light skin color, the lip skin contains fewer melanocytes (cells which produce melanin pigment , which give skin its color). Because of this, the blood vessels appear through the skin of the lips, which leads to their notable red coloring. With darker skin color this effect is less prominent, as in this case the skin of the lips contains more melanin and thus is visually darker. The skin of the lip forms the border between the exterior skin of the face, and the interior mucous membrane of the inside of the mouth.

The lip skin is not hairy, and does not have sweat glands or sebaceous glands. Therefore it does not have the usual protection layer of sweat and body oils which keep the skin smooth, inhibit pathogens, and regulate warmth.

For these reasons, the lips dry out faster and become chapped more easily. - Source Wikipedia


So Just like we take care of our skin we need to take extra care of lips too...
I used to Suffer from dry, chapped lips all the time until I did my Lip Spa Therapy
Here is what i do to make my Lips soft ,supple and nourished...

This home Lip Spa therapy of mine is a three step procedure and After you try this therapy you will love me for sharing this with you <3

Ok Here it goes...

Lip Spa Therapy

Step 1 - The Yummy Exfoliation
Ok this is the first and foremost important step...



You will need
1/2 tsp of Honey
1/3 tsp of sugar

Mix the honey and sugar ,apply all over your lips and rub it in circular motion for about 2 minutes
This helps in removing the dead skin(pls dont lickkkkkk,i knows its pretty difficult)
Now wipe this off

Step 2 - The Lip Mask
Yes you read it right...just like our face mask lip does need a mask



You will need
1 tsp oats
1 tsp honey
1 tsp Almond oil/Olive oil

Mix all the three ingredients till smooth and apply all over your lips and let it dry
Now wash it once its dry.

Step 3 - Moisturise
Now this step is very very easy




You will need
Regular Chapstick /lip balm / Almond oil / cocoa butter
Apply almond oil/lip balm all over your lips and your Lip Spa Therapy is done
Just look at your luscious lips and give me a kiss of Goodluck...
You can do this atleast once a month...

My Homemade Mask cum Scrub - DIY

Even though I use lot of cosmetics and skincare from various brands...but nothing like homemade masks, scrubs, packs that gives skin natural and healthy glow...

My HG(Holy Grail) Mask cum Scrub is very very easy to prepare and the results are awesome...you will love it for sure so DIY at home and let me know how this helped you







You will need
1 to 2 tbsp of Oats
1tbpsn of curd/Yoghurt
1 tspn - honey
2 tspn lemon juice
1 tbspn Green gram flour(optional)

Mix all the above ingredients and apply all over your face and neck.
Leave it for 15- 20 mins
Now splash water on your face and in circular movements massage your face and neck and wash off the mask cum scrub.

This scrub helps in giving healthy glow to the skin,removes dirt and blackheads.
Removes tan too

Some details about the ingredients
Oats are the best source of amino proteins and are actually considered to be one of nature's most fabulous aphrodisiacs.Greeks and romans used to have oats for bathing
Oats are great for exfoliation and have actually been clinically shown to help heal dry, itchy skin.

Yoghurt helps in reducing pores also helps in removing tan and give skin a health glow.

Lemon's juice is best for skin lightening and always use lemon with honey or yoghurt as lemon juice dries the skin.

Honey helps in clearing acne the natural way and also tightens pores also a great moisturiser.

Green gram flour removes the dirt lightens the skin color ,also gives good complexion.

Eggless Chocolate Brownie

I was actually droolinggggg when i saw pics of Eggless Almond brownie in Priti's blog...She is one of the sweetest blogger..very very friendly and off course a great cook ...Do check her blog to droooooooooollllll

So i wanted to try this immediately but then i can never stick to any recipe so i made little modifications....it came out really yummy...thank you priti for posting such a yummilicous recipe :)

Ingredients
White Granulated Sugar - 1/2 cup
Butter - 1/3 cup
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Fresh Cream - 1/4 cup
All Purpose Flour - 1/3 cup
Cocoa Powder - 1/3 cup
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Curd/Yogurt - 1/4 cup
Diary milk - 1 bar/ chocolate chips - 1/3 cup [Original recipe used almond flakes]


Step by Step :

1. In a big bowl beat butter and sugar till the it becomes smooth

2. Now add vanilla essence and fresh cream and beat till sugar dissolves

3. In another bowl sift flour ,cocoa powder and baking powder.

4. Now add the sifted flour into the wet mixture and add curd/yogurt and fold the mixture



5. Now add bit and pieces of diary milk chocolate/ chocolate chips into the mixture and fold in swiftly



6. Now grease convection oven safe dish and pour in the mixture and microwave it for 4 minutes with Hi power (This depends on which brand microwave you are using).

7. Once done take it out and let it cool.

8. Cut it and eat it(This is the best part).
