Lotus Pure Radiance Matte-Glow Daily Foundation Fresh Ivory 350 Review

Lotus Pure Radiance Matte-Glow Daily Foundation – Fresh Ivory 350 Review Entry #4 Chandana
Price and Quantity: Rs.175 for 25 ml.

My experience with Lotus Pure Radiance Matte-Glow Daily Foundation:
Packaging of Lotus Pure Radiance Matte-Glow Daily Foundation is stylish sleek plastic bottle. The nozzle is very small and tube like. The color of the bottle resembles to that of the foundation colors thus giving the idea that the product in the bottle is a foundation.
Texture is pretty nice. And the coverage is just average for daily usage. If you need heavy coverage, then this product would fail to satisfy you.
Blending is easy.  But you need to be quick, because it tends to dry where ever you have made spots. That’s why I feel a tiny amount of your favorite cold cream mixed with this foundation would work better.
Staying power is satisfactory. The main positive point is it does not melt. Fresh Ivory is the lightest shade available form this range.

What more do you need from a foundation that is available for below Rs.200!!!! In my opinion a good pick and it makes into the list of budget purchases.
Rating: 4/5
Pros of Lotus Pure Radiance Matte-Glow Daily Foundation:
-          Stylish packaging.
-          Perfect thickness for a foundation.
-          Easily blendable.
-          Good staying power.
-          Good coverage.
-          Affordable price.
-          Perfect choice for beginner.

Cons of Lotus Pure Radiance Matte-Glow Daily Foundation:
-          Limited color selection
-          Dries off pretty soon if delayed in blending.
-          Not suitable for heavy coverage.

Thanks chandana ...I want to try this for everyday use :)

Sanitizer - Another Thing I hoard :)

Haven't I told you girls that I hoard things....I hoard sanitizers too
My Mom is in medical field ....so these sanitizers have been part of our life for a very long time....

For me especially once I started wearing lens ...it  became a part of everyday regime I should say...

Way I use

Basically I use sanitizer before i wear my lens also before I remove them
Before I start my makeup/skincare regime
I use sanitizers to clean my makeup brushes...
Also during my home manicure/pedicure procedure...

I always have one in my handbag, car, ....ok everywhere...

Even before Himalaya or any other brand introduced these sanitizers commercially(atleast as far as i know)
I have been using Sterillium which is the best according to me..... Its basically used by people in the medical field..

Of late I have been using Himalaya which comes in travel size...easy to carry around...also use Godrej when travelling through air(I kept the bottle in the car under hot sun...so the misshape) :D

Reebok Handsanitizer  is very good also smells good ..its called resanitize:)

So which is your favourite sanitizer ? :)

Varshini

Bodyography Foundation Primer Clear - Review & Swatch

I am oily skinned during summers and have a dry patchy skin during winters(just for a month or two)...
Ok during summers whatever great foundation i use...i have this issue of oxidised foundation thingy...leaving my face dark and looking like a i have purposely wanted to give a tanned look..grrrr

I wanted a primer but wasn't sure because of my beautiful combination skin....:p
So when i was browsing through HealthKart.com i saw this Bodyography Foundation primer ...It was in two sizes...one a full size  and this one a 15ml ..trial size i guess
This is used by professional makeup artists..:)

So here goes
Price : Rs.375 for 15ml (pretty pricey haaww)

Product Claims:

Since its release, Veil Foundation Primer has become one of our most popular products. With anti-oxidants, vitamins A and E, Green Tea and Grape Seed extract, this weightless oil-free primer fills in fine lines and wrinkles, prevents collagen breakdown and gives the skin a silky smooth, long lasting, flawless base.

In response to the requests of many makeup artist, Veil Foundation Primer is now available in the original clear, bronzing and shimmer formulas, and 3 color correcting formulas.

  • Extends wear of foundation
  • Won't irritate sensitive skin
  • Over time, aides in evening out skin tone

    Swatch

    Pros :
    Smooth as butter
    easy application
    does reduce my pore size
oil free so good for oily skinned
very little foundation is required when we use on top of this primer
makeup stays put for atleast 5hrs or so
    my skin feels hydrated throughout
very little quantity is required..just a peanut size
    available in many variants
    did not break me out

    Cons:
Price is too much for 15ml product
    Contains Silicones.

So overall this is a very good primer...but a pricey one though..
So which is your favourite primer?

Street Wear Stay On Blush - Blush Wine - Review and Swatches

I was looking out for a peach blush with good pigmentation and staying power
So during one of my trips to H&G store ..I was looking for Revlon blush but When I saw this in the pan I got this
They dint have tester piece for this particular shade..but then i went ahead and got this shade

    Price : Rs.450 for 4g

    Product Claims:
    Stays on for 8 hours.
A long wear blush that blends with your skin tone providing true colors to your cheeks

    My take :

This is a warm peachy blush with almost invisible shimmers...nothing over the top

Comes in a silver case with a big mirror and a kinda useless brush...better brush than lakme ones

My blush broke during a trip..:(

It has fallout.but a buildable colour

This gives a mild peachy glow..so pigmentation is kinda okay...not so great or bad types ...But if you go little too much...it might give you a sun tanned look...Remember its warm peach with very little pink undertones

ok coming to the important part "the staying power"
hmmm...no...8 hrs claim is not true ...at max stays for 3hrs or so...that too with a base...

So i would say its a overly priced blush for what it does...

Dia Mirza - The Porcelain Beauty and her Beauty Secrets

I always loved Dia Mirza even though she doesn't have that many films to her credit...As far as i have seen her she is always in impeccable flawless makeup and Apt dress for the occasion

    So the post :)

    Something About her

Dia Mirza was born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Her father, Frank Handrich, was a German graphic and industrial fair designer, architect, artist and interior designer from Munich and her mother, Deepa is a Bengali Indian who is an interior designer, landscaper and currently does social work as a volunteer to help alcoholics and addicts. They separated when she was six years old. Her father died when she was nine and her mother remarried Ahmed Mirza, who died in 2004. She adopted her stepfather's surname Mirza and has recently adopted the last name of her birth-father and became Dia Mirza Handrich. Though she has been brought up in a Muslim household, she does not consider herself a Muslim; she is a Hindu and believes in Ganesha.

    MOISTURE FIX
I have combination skin, which can be both oily and dry, so I religiously moisturise twice a day with a waterbased hypo-allergenic moisturizer I’ve discovered from a French brand Uriage.

    DIVA DIET
I start my mornings with warm water and fresh lime to detox. When I eat simple food without too much spice and oil, my skin stays healthy. I eat lots of fresh and wholesome fruit and veggies. Anything sin excess is a no-no.

    RED CARPET ROUTINE
I like to keep it simple. I use a light coverage of M.A.C Studio Fix foundation. I enhance my eyes with Bobbi Brown eyeliner, curl the lashes and then brush on mascara. I add a little shimmer from Make Up For Ever to highlight the cheekbones and finish with gloss from Bobbi Brown.

    SHADY LADY
I don’t even step outside without sunscreen. Right now I’m using Vichy Capital Soleil with SPF 50, so my face stays protected for up to eight hours.

    MUST HAVES
A tinted strawberry flavoured lip balm, a mascara and a techna kohl pencil, all by M.A.C

    HEAVEN SCENT
My signature fragrance is DKNY Be Delicious

    GOING PRO
I insist on using professional makeup and carry my own kit everywhere. Unlike other actresses, I can’t use thick Kryolan panstick; instead I use a liquid base and translucent powder from M.A.C Pro. I first learnt how to use make-up professionally

    Basic Makeup Necessities for Work/Everyday

This is a lengthy post ...
I wanted to write this post for quite sometime but then i was hesitant because i would never call myself a Makeup Geek ...

But now i know at least what are the basic things..
    so here it goes

Moisturiser - indeed a good moisturiser
I would always recommend a tinted moisturiser
Suggestion :My HG tinted moisturiser is Ponds age miracle
    Price Rs.212

    Compact - pressed powder
Suggestion: I use either Colorbar Time plus compact or Maybelline UV whitestay
Price : both are price Rs.150

Kajal - it defines your eyes

Suggestion: Lakme Black Satin kajal or Lotus Herbal Kajal

    Price : both are Rs.150 i guess

    Eye liner
You can either choose Liquid liner or a gel liner
Suggestion : Iam using Lakme insta eyeliner price Rs: less than 50
and Maybelline Gel liner for Rs.325

    Mascara -
I would say this is optional but then if you wear it the rightway..it will open up your eyes

Suggestion : Maybelline colossal volume mascaraPrice Rs.275 i guess not sure :p

    Blush - This is optional
You can use blush to office...yes u heard it right
Take the right amount to get the subtle glow

Suggestion : Colorbar Blushes Rs.250Just earth and peachy rose

    Lipstick or a Tinted lipbalm

Suggestion: Nivea Tinted lipbalms Rs.125 or Maybelline Lippies in Neutral shades like my mahagony
