Jovees Kajal Review

Jovees Kajal Review:  Entry # 5 by Megha

What Jovees claims about Jovees Kajal:

Jovees Kajal helps to keep eyes healthy, facilitates the growth of lashes and shall help to maintain and improve quality of vision. It contains Triphala, Almond oil, natural carbon and other herbal extracts.

Price: Rs.90

My verdict on Jovees Kajal:

My search for a perfect kajal is not yet over. I buy every new kajal with a hope that it does not come down to my under eye skin. I have now lost hope on all the claims that the brand does for their kajal products.
Jovees kajal is no different. Just as usual smudging every where within one hour of application. Jovees kajal comes in a twist up case like that of a lipstick. It has a transparent plastic cap.
The color of this kajal is very black and makes my eyes bright and bold once applied. 2 - 3 swipes is required to bring a deep black color.
Staying power is not very good. It smudges usually. I once applied on my upper lash line, and smudged like anything. I am not happy with this purchase. When I tried to wash with water, it does not go easily. It creates more panda like eyes.

Pros of Jovees Kajal:- Easy handling twist up case.
- Easily available across all stores.
- Very dark black color is obtained.

Cons of Jovees Kajal:- Smudges around the eyes.
- Staying power is very low.
- Cannot be easily washed.

Have a look at the claims about his product. Very funny, he he he. Would you believe that this Kajal helps in growing of lashes and improve vision? I pity such claims.

Thanks a lot for this lovely post Megha

Elle 18 Eyeliner in Black Out Review

Elle18 Eyeliner Black Review Entry # 4 by - Megha

What Elle18 claims about Elle18 Eyeliner Black:
Jet black and water-resistant eyeliner enriched with rose water to keep your eyes cool.

Price: Rs.65

My verdict on Elle18 Eyeliner Black:

Elle18 eyeliner is the cheapest eyeliner I have found so far. This is my first eyeliner when I got attracted towards liquid eyeliner. The cheapest and good in its quality.

The Elle18 Eyeliner comes in a globe like glass bottle with plastic twist cap. The cap has a brush applicator. The brush has very little and fine hair bristles that help in drawing a thin line on the upper lash line.

The eyeliner consistency is not too thick or too thin. It gives a good black colored line.
The staying power of Elle18 Eyeliner is not very good. I apply in the morning everyday and by evening it is not as it was when I applied. It breaks in between. Also it is not water resistant. It gets washed easily.

For a product that is available for just Rs.65, too many things should not be expected.

Pros of Elle18 Eyeliner Black:

- Good packaging bottle.
- Very thin hair bristles in the applicator.
- Very cheap in price.
- Good quality for the price it is available at.

Cons of Elle18 Eyeliner Black:

- Not water resistant eyeliner.
- Does not stay very long.
- The line breaks in between after some time

A good budget product that all girls can give a try.

Alva ‘Do you speak Alva?’ stacked pigments Review By Aarthi

Alva ‘Do you speak Alva?’ stacked pigments Review  - By Aarthi  Entry # 1

My love for eye makeup started very recently, until when I just stopped with a kajal and eye liner to highlight my eyes. As I started experimenting different looks with different products I always wanted to have a pigments stack [not a large one but a small one at least]. I won this pigment stack in a giveaway :D
Since then I have been trying out so many looks with these eye pigments and now it has become my favourite of all. These pigments are so fine and soft that blending them is very easy peasy. The stack I got has 2 pigments with glitters and 2 without glitters. Both kinds looks great and compliments my look. Each shade has been numbered as 033,034,035,036.

·        033 – Matte grey
·        034 – Matte lavender
·        035 – Shimmering military green
·        036 – Shimmering Copper

Tell me even one color that you don’t like in this stack. Each and every single color is to die for and so unique in my collection. Few of you know how much I am mad about MAC Humid eye shadow. The shade 035 is close to MAC Humid I can say and do I have to tell you how much happy I am??

I feel I still can try out various looks with these pigments as they all work really great with any different combinations. Just 4 different shades does magic and I am enjoying it. This stack showed me how much difference a pigments stack can make than the normal eye shadow palette.

Pros
·         These pigments are highly pigmented.
·         The colors are so vibrant.
·         The pigments are so soft and easy to blend.
·         Two shimmer pigments and two matte pigments make a great combination.
·         Awesome choice of colors in this stack.
·         Various stacks available.

Cons
·         Nothing much. The matte pigments fly off a little bit but that is ok as there is a lot more left over for me to use.

Would I Purchase? – Yes I would love to buy more and more. Now I have this craving to try the NYX and ELF pigment stacks too. Feel like trying different variants from different brands.

Rating – 5/5

Thanks a lot Aarthi for tempting me :P

How to Tightline Your Eyes - Stepwise Tutorial

Before I started blogging...I never knew there was something called Tight lining
But then one fine day when I was taking help from our dear google about gel eyeliners I landed in Cynthia's Blog where she has beautifully given the tutorial for tight lining the eyes :D

Ok now whats the purpose of tight lining ?

You can actually make eyes pop up :)
You can carry  off no makeup look with this cute little secret ....
Defines eyes and makes it kinda look bigger

Now How do we do it ?

It might look scary when I tell you that you should line your upper lashline(upper waterline with kajal/gel liner)
But then once you have done that and see your self in the mirror you will know the difference...:)

I have tried this with kajal

Products Used :

Eyetex kajal( says its 100% natural)
Eyelash Curler
Maybeline Collasal Mascara
Q-tips and makeup remover for cleanup

So here it goes:

Wash ,clean you eyes and pat dry

Now Take a kajal and then without tugging or pulling your eyes gently apply kajal in your upper lash line

Ok dont be scared by looking at my scary eyes...just for showing you the lined upper lash line i tried open my eyes up

Now comes the final easy step..Curl your lashes and apply loads of mascara and apply kajal in your lower waterline and lashline ...

Clean up for any mess :)

Finally your eyes are defined beautifully :D

Have you tried tightlining ?

Oriflame EyeLash Curler - Tutorial

Hi All,

This is my first post on a makeup Tool Eyelash Curler.

Seriously before coming into the blogging world i was totally unaware of such thing called an eyelash curler....yes i mean it...poor me :(

Even for my wedding makeup the Makeup artist i hired dint curl my lashes...I dont even remember her put on mascara...ok thats a different story altogether....

Now Coming to the EYELASH CURLER....I am not actually gifted with thick and beautiful lashes... i definetly need to use mascara to show that i too have Eyelashes....

After Seeing eyelash curler in IMBB i thought its hightime i buy this....and try to flaunt it by fluttering my eyes......

I recently became an oriflame consultant...so it has its own advantages i would say...the first and foremost is helping me in my impulsive shopping...buy things in discounts and moreover need not depend on anyone for placing orders and also help others in spending money....and
so in this month's catalouge eyelash curler is in offer...just Rs.99 ..so i got...how clever

Enough of my stories coming to the point...

Ok its damn easy to use....
Please follow the steps

1. Buy an eye lash curler

2.Clean your eyes , remove makeup

3.Now Open up the eyelash curler and slightly press it and see to that you dont hurt you upper lid's skin..

4. Now position it in such a way that your upperlid's lashes are placed in the rubber strip fitted
5.Now press and hold for 10 to 30 secs
6. Repeat if required
7. Apply mascara and your ready to go...

Hope this helps...
