My verdict about Elle18 Lip Smoothie:Elle18 Lip Smoothie is a very affordable lip gloss. It is so cheap that even girls who do not earn can easily buy by not burning their parent’s pocket.
Elle18 Lip Smoothie comes in a transparent tube and a black cap. The tube has a slanted nozzle like applicator.
The Elle18 Lip Smoothie texture is just right. No stickiness is observed on the lips. But I feel my lips a little oily, and also the skin around the lips gets the oily texture. That means it bleeds to some extent.
It stays on for about 3 hours. It moisturizes my lips well.
Burnt Choco is a nice brownish nude color. Though it gives color in the hand swatch, it is colorless on the lips. It seems like a colorless shiny gloss on my lips. It gives a mint like tingling feel to the lips initially when applied. Later on the tingling sensation goes off.

Pros of Elle18 Lip Smoothie:- Tube like packaging.
- Very economically priced.
- Stays for 3 hours.
- Easily available.

Cons of Elle18 Lip Smoothie:- Burnt Choco is a colorless gloss on the lips.
- It gives oily texture to my lips.
- The oily thing bleeds to my skin around the lips.
Overall, a good product to try.

My verdict about Nivea Glamorous Gloss Pink Sugar:Nivea Glamorous Gloss is a product that is as same as any ordinary lip gloss. Nivea Glamorous Gloss comes in a small sleek pink tube. The tube has a semi transparent white colored twist cap. The applicator has a slant edge to fit on the lips for application.
The gloss has shimmers in it and is super sticky. It is also thick and shiny.
Though it is pink in color in the swatch, on the lips it is colorless. It can be topped on any lipstick without changing the lipstick color. It can also be used alone for shiny glossy lips. It stays for about 3 hours when used alone. I have not used it on any lipstick so far.
I use this very rarely due to its stickiness. Those who hate sticky lip gloss on their lips can give Nivea Glamorous Gloss a miss.

Pros of Nivea Glamorous Gloss:- Clear colored gloss.
- Can be used with any lipstick without changing its color.
- Pretty package.
- Economically price.
- The gloss has tiny shimmers.
- Gives a shiny look to the lips.

Cons of Nivea Glamorous Gloss - Sticky textured gloss.
- Very thick consistency.
- Color lovers will not like this clear colored gloss.

How many us like BOLD RED LIPS ... I can see all hands going up :D
Yes we all love...but how about OUR OWN RED LIPS ? ....ahmmmm not many.... its indeed a difficult color to carry....

I know its a shame but here comes the truth ...This is my VERY FIRST RED LIPSTICK....
yes yes you read it right :D

I was scared of this color ...somehow wanted to get rid of jitters...
Finally i bought a red lipstick ..without even swatching it... just by seeing online Swatches...hahahaha

Pros :

Very Affordable...this can very well be your first red lipstick

Stays put for 4 hours and fades away leaving behind lovely tint

Lovely Blue based red..

Lakme Sheer Dual Definition Lipcolor and Liner in Berry Review - By Aarthi Entry # 2

I think one of my very first lipsticks would be this Lakme Sheer Dual Lipcolor and Liner in Berry. Those days I have no idea about the different shades available or the shades that would suit me. I would just randomly buy something or just trust the SA’s words and buy a lipstick or be it any other makeup product. I think many of us were like this !! When I think about those funny days I just giggle within myself. Me and my sister used to exchange our makeup products [once we get bored of it]and I think this lipstick was passed on to me during one such exchange.

There is 1.2g of the lipstick and 0.25g of the liner. The lipstick is sheer and I have swiped it 4-5 times to show you the color.

The lipstick and liner match perfectly and I would call the shade a good plum color. The name of the shade is Berry. When the lipstick/lipcolor is worn all alone it just looks like a gloss and it fades pretty quickly. So I use the liner as a base and then use the lipstick and the color shows well along with the glossy shine on my lips. I didn’t have a berry/plum shade in my lipstick collection so I was super glad to find this lipcolor.

I am not aware of the price as it is not mentioned in the packaging nor google helped me in finding the cost !!

Pros

·         Lipcolor is sheer initially and color can be built with 4-5 swipes.

·         Both liner and lipcolor in one single product.

·         Easy and convenient during travel.

·         Lip pencil works as a good base.

·         Both the lipcolor and lip pencil are twist up retractable ones. I am loving it completely. No worries even if I twist up a lot of product.

·         No fragrance to it.

Cons

·         I would like to know the manufactured or the expiry date as it is not mentioned in the pencil I am not too happy using it.

·         The lipcolor fades away pretty quickly. It hardly stays for 2 hrs when used without any base.

Rating – 3.5/5

Would I Repurchase – Well Yes if it is still available in the market. I could neither find it online nor in the stores now.

Have any of used or seen this product before? Do let me know so that I can get a rough idea of what the manufacturing date could be !! If at all I get the answer I would happily use this product or just throw it away [if it has crossed the expiry date].

Experience with Neutrogena Lip moisturizer:

Neutrogena Lip moisturizer comes in a white twist up tube package with a white cap. The cap closes with a click press. The lip moisturizer looks like a piece of wax. No scent and no color present in the product. The texture of Neutrogena Lip moisturizer is thin. It makes the lips soft and supple. For a complete application, two swipes on the lips is required. The package claims that it protects the lips from harmful UV rays.

Though an ideal lip moisturizer, it will not help much if you have very dry lips. Since it is not very waxy, Neutrogena Lip moisturizer may not be very useful during harsh winters.

Pros of Neutrogena Lip moisturizer:

-          Twist up tube package.

-          Protects from harmful UV rays.

-          Very thin texture.

-          Good moisturizer to the lips.

-          Easily available.

Cons of Neutrogena Lip moisturizer:

Revlon Super Lustrous Shiny Sheers Lipstick - 845 / 14 Sheer Plumdrop Review , Swatch and LOTD

I am not a great fan of Plum Lipsticks..May be because of  80's and 90's heroines :D ....They always wear these Plummy shades or Fuschia which looks terrible ...

So to tell you people the truth i just have two Plum Lipsticks... I think they look gaudy on me :D

So When I saw this shade in the tube I was scared thought would runaway from the counter only... I got this in Singapore for $8  I guess but not sure

I saw these lippies here in some of the online shopping sites too for Rs.525

When i saw this lippy first in the tube ...it was so dark..You can see in the pics below.. I have clicked the exact color of the lippy in the tube as well the swatch this time

Ok I have literally ate the lipstick...I LOVE It

 Actually here comes the little confusing part...actually when i bought in Singapore it had the number 845 but here in India the number is 14  ..

 

See the swatch how sheer and shiny also very moisturising...so different from the shade in tube na...and also has some tiny blue and gold glitters which are pretty and nothing OTT

If your into creamy lipsticks with strong pigmentation then this is not for you



I will be repurchasing this color for sure and also would love to some more shades from this range
Do give this lippy a try...I am sure you would love it

Oriflame Wild West Couture Lipstick : Pale Mauve - Review & LOTD

I got this during one of my Oriflame Hauls :D

This Wild West Couture Lipstick is a limited edition one and was on discount...Being an Oriflame consultant has its own benefits when I saw this in the catalogue immediately ordered :)

Price : 4gm for Guess I bought it for around Rs.250 or so ...don't remember exactly

Staying power is bad ..max 1 hour

settles in fine lines

I won't recommend this for dusky to medium skintones....

Biotique Bio Aloe Vera Lipbalm

I got this Biotique Aloevera Lipbalm during one of my grocery shopping...I guess i got this last year and started using recently...The main thing that attracted me was SPF 30....I was like wow...not even my moisturiser has SPF30.. grabbed it immediately.this comes in the regular green tub packaging which most of us find unattractive...

Price : Rs.99 for 16g

How to use and product claims

Nothing Absolutely...Please dont ever buy this...did just nothing expect making my lips crack

The Anatomy of Lips

The skin of the lip, with three to five cellular layers, is very thin compared to typical face skin, which has up to 16 layers. With light skin color, the lip skin contains fewer melanocytes (cells which produce melanin pigment , which give skin its color). Because of this, the blood vessels appear through the skin of the lips, which leads to their notable red coloring. With darker skin color this effect is less prominent, as in this case the skin of the lips contains more melanin and thus is visually darker. The skin of the lip forms the border between the exterior skin of the face, and the interior mucous membrane of the inside of the mouth.

The lip skin is not hairy, and does not have sweat glands or sebaceous glands. Therefore it does not have the usual protection layer of sweat and body oils which keep the skin smooth, inhibit pathogens, and regulate warmth.

So Just like we take care of our skin we need to take extra care of lips too...
I used to Suffer from dry, chapped lips all the time until I did my Lip Spa Therapy
Here is what i do to make my Lips soft ,supple and nourished...

This home Lip Spa therapy of mine is a three step procedure and After you try this therapy you will love me for sharing this with you <3

Ok Here it goes...

Lip Spa Therapy

Step 1 - The Yummy Exfoliation
Ok this is the first and foremost important step...



You will need
1/2 tsp of Honey
1/3 tsp of sugar

Mix the honey and sugar ,apply all over your lips and rub it in circular motion for about 2 minutes
This helps in removing the dead skin(pls dont lickkkkkk,i knows its pretty difficult)
Now wipe this off

Step 2 - The Lip Mask
Yes you read it right...just like our face mask lip does need a mask



You will need
1 tsp oats
1 tsp honey
1 tsp Almond oil/Olive oil

Mix all the three ingredients till smooth and apply all over your lips and let it dry
Now wash it once its dry.

Step 3 - Moisturise
Now this step is very very easy




You will need
Regular Chapstick /lip balm / Almond oil / cocoa butter
Apply almond oil/lip balm all over your lips and your Lip Spa Therapy is done
Just look at your luscious lips and give me a kiss of Goodluck...
You can do this atleast once a month...
